Taraji P. Henson perfectly complemented her newly-lightened locks with a stunning green dress as she attended the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (10Sep16).

The 46-year-old actress looked gorgeous as she walked the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Hidden Figures in a unique vintage YSL wrap gown.

Taraji worked the dress to her every advantage, posing with her leg poking out beneath the split and showing off her incredible figure in the process.

While the dress itself was relatively plain, the Empire star paired it with some statement heels, orange nail polish on her toes and a slick of purple lipstick to add detail to her ensemble.

But it was the actress' blonde hair that really had everyone talking - her tresses were several shades lighter than the last time she was seen out and about.

Taraji frequently changes up her locks, mostly due to wigs, but posed with her natural braided hair for a photoshoot in CR Fashion Book last October (15).

When photographer Bruce Weber suggested shooting without a wig, Taraji told the magazine: "Part of me was like, 'No, no, no, NO!' This is the hair no one is supposed to see. This is like behind-closed-doors hair. I feel naked. I feel like a plucked chicken… or a wet one. A baby chicken!"

But she added: "Underneath that hair is my soul, and it's me, it's mine."

Taraji wasn't the only star to wow on the red carpet at the TIFF this weekend; Natalie Portman, who sparked pregnancy rumours recently with an apparent baby bump, wore a cream printed coat dress as she posed alongside Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose Depp at the premiere of their new film Planetarium on Saturday. Natalie mixed things up for Sunday night's premiere of Jackie, looking chic and feminine in a beaded down in a soft, green shade. She wore her hair in a carefully curled updo, and highlighted her ensemble with silver jewellery and accessories.
