Taraji P. Henson went all Studio 54 at the Emmys
Taraji P. Henson’s stylist Jason Bolden has praised Vera Wang’s designs.
Taraji P. Henson channelled her inner Studio 54 diva at the Emmy awards.
The Empire star has become a red carpet favourite, and after wowing in her arrival outfit for the ceremony on Sunday (18Sep16), Taraji switched her wardrobe and hair up to present the best supporting actor in a drama gong to Bloodline's Ben Mendelsohn.
Wearing a floor length yellow Vera Wang dress to walk in to the awards bash, with her hair worn in loose curls, Taraji then stunned in another Vera Wang number, this one a mocha coloured sequin design. She also swapped her relaxed hairstyle for a sleek bob.
"It’s an ah and ooh to the disco Studio 54 diva in Taraji,” her stylist Jason Bolden told The Hollywood Reporter.
Her Lorraine Schwartz diamonds were removed for the second look, though the actress kept her Jimmy Choo heels on.
“It’s super clean because the dress speaks for itself,” Jason smiled.
While the two looks were polar opposites, Jason thinks they equally match Taraji's personality. She may have missed out on the best actress in a drama series prize to Orphan Black’ Tatiana Maslany, but she certainly didn’t disappoint in the style stakes.
