Valentino campaign enlists Turbeville
Valentino's Spring 12 campaign has been shot in Mexico by Deborah Turbeville.
The pictures were taken in an old mining town in the Guanajuato area of the country.
There are five stars of the campaign, male model Clement Chabernaud, Maud Franzen, Fei Fei Sun, Bette Franke and Zuzanna Bijoch.
The images will start to appear in fashion press in January, but one has already been made public. It shows the four female models standing alongside each other, in front of a wall which is dappled with sunlight. Two of the women boast red floor-length gowns with lace detailing, while the other two are in champagne coloured dresses - one with a floral print.
"[The collection is] linked to Mexico as a state of mind," said creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. "[The campaign is] a fantasy setting for a new poetic femininity."
Make-up came courtesy of Pierre Orlando, while Mark Hampton took care of the hair - which was teased into braids and wrapped around the models' heads.
Shots from Moschino's upcoming campaign have also been released. The images were taken by Juergen Teller in Rome, and feature model Kasia Struss.
In one picture she's seen wearing tight black trousers, a lace overlay jacket, hat and sunglasses while clutching an oversized bag. Kasia is standing in front of the Colosseum and a Fiat 500 car is next to her.
"'Viva l'Italia' is the slogan which best represents the new Moschino campaign," creative director Rossella Jardini told WWD. "I wanted to show once again how much we love Italy, which is one of the most beautiful countries, able to stand out for the excellence of the Made in Italy and its sartorial tradition."
The rest of the images will be unveiled in February.
