Dame Vivienne Westwood has been “dreaming” about the royal wedding.
The British fashion designer is famed for her daring pieces, creating outfits which push the boundaries of fashion to the limit.
Vivienne unveiled her Fall 2011 menswear collection as part of Milan Menswear Fashion Week yesterday, and it displayed her vision of a royal wedding, in reference to Britain’s Prince William’s upcoming marriage to fiancée Kate Middleton.
The pair will wed on April 29 at Westminster Abbey in London, England, and Vivienne’s latest collection could offer the handsome Prince some style inspiration.
"With royal marriage in the air, who would you choose to be your bridegroom? Come on girls, our catwalk is your chance to dream", explained the show notes to her latest male collection.
The innovative line featured an interesting array of cardigans, double denim and baggy checked pantaloons, which would make for a rather unique royal wedding outfit. There were some more traditional options though, including pinstriped and tweed suits.
