Zara Phillips presents her Spring/Summer 13 collection for Musto
Zara Phillips marked the launch of her Spring/Summer 13 collection for Musto with a presentation in London.
The member of the British royal family, who is also an Olympic equestrian star, began designing a clothing range with the label in 2009.
Zara, who is Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter, showed off her latest collection of sports and leisurewear items at London's Somerset House last week. Staying true to her debut collection, next season's offerings will include training jackets, fleeces, gilets, polos and chaps in a more "technical" design. Zara talked through the details of the collection as models walked out wearing her designs and those from Musto's new sailing and shooting collections.
The horse-riding expert managed to raise a smile from the crowd by some well-timed comments about the range she was showcasing. British newspaper The Telegraph reports that Zara amusingly made her way through descriptions of "waterproof finishes" and "stretch mesh ventilation panelling".
"This jacket shares some of the properties of the Neptune jacket - if you can remember what, you're doing better than me," Zara deadpanned.
Zara has previously spoken about how confusing she finds fashion. At a presentation for her designs last year Zara said she was learning a lot about forward planning after landing the Musto contract.
"It's been really interesting it has, especially how far forward you have to plan for next season… I'm totally confused about what's coming out today!" the royal revealed.
