Zendaya channels inner pearl queen at Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

The former Shake It Up star was undoubtedly the belle of the ball in her stunning gown.

Zendaya gave her classic black gown a twist with pearl detailing as she attended the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Saturday (03Jun17).

The former Shake It Up star was undoubtedly the belle of the ball in her stunning gown, which featured a halterneck design that was amped up with pearls hanging along the shoulders.

Completing her look, Zendaya wore her hair in a slicked down 'do, and shunned make-up artists by doing her own cosmetics for the evening.

Inside the event, Zendaya posed up with stars including Halle Berry, who showcased her incredible curves in a figure-hugging silver dress, which she complemented with a matching jacket and pedicure.

Showgirls star Elizabeth Berkley almost looked as though she had coordinated with Zendaya for the event, and went for a sleek but sexy look in a white shirt and tight black trousers.

With glowing make-up leaving her looking fresh-faced, Elizabeth posed happily on the red carpet with husband Greg Lauren.

Another famous face who went for a monochrome look was Rebecca Gayheart-Dane, whose white dress worked well with husband Eric Dane's smart black suit and tie. The evening was the first time Eric has made a public appearance since he revealed earlier this year (17) that he was taking a break from the public eye to seek treatment for depression.

The Chrysalis Butterfly Ball wasn't the only stylish event this weekend. Stars also came out for the Drama Desk Awards, with Kate Walsh looking incredible in a Grecian-style satin minidress as she posed on the red carpet. The 13 Reasons Why star accessorised her look with a slick of red lipstick, perfectly complementing her fiery locks in the process.

She had some competition in the glamour stakes from fellow redhead Cynthia Nixon. The star wore a modest but pretty green dress, finished off with a wide blue belt to highlight her slim waist.

Laura Linney, a winner at the awards, also stepped up her fashion game for the occasion, proving the myth that horizontal stripes make you look bigger wrong as she sported a sleeveless dress with three wide stripes.
