Zoe Saldana: Fashion must be edgy

Zoe Saldana loves to see women dressed in feminine pieces with a “masculine edge”.

The Hollywood beauty, famed for her gorgeous looks and slim physique, is regularly praised for her elegant style.

Zoe’s aesthetic ranges from one day to the next, although she enjoys women dressing in an edgy way.

“I have a range in my individual style – I love the amazing gowns and dresses for red carpet and event appearances, but I also am very into jeans, a tee and a chic jacket for daytime,” she told fashionista.com.

“I also think it is very cool when a woman wears feminine pieces with a masculine edge like a chic blazer and cool dress pantsstill sexy but subtle.”

Zoe relies on her stylist to keep her ahead of the fashion pack. The stunning star has also revealed some of her favourite designers.

“My stylist Petra Flannery is amazing and truly has such an incredible eye with fashion,” she said. “I am a fan of so many different designers ranging from Calvin Klein, Marchesa, Givenchy, Giambattista Valli, Azzedine Alaia, Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, among others.”

Zoe is the brains behind fashion website MyFDB. The raven-haired beauty launched the site with her fiancé Keith Britton and aims to give fashion fans access to information in the industry.

"It's really for anyone who loves fashion magazines, luxury brands, celebrities, models - you can browse them all on MyFDB.com and coming in August you'll be able to shop some of the images as well,” she explained.

“Before MyFDB, there wasn't any website giving fashion professionals' credit where credit is due for their work. We were inspired to level the playing field for them while organising the industry by fashion credits. Soon we will be launching MyFDB Vintage that will cover the iconic and timeless magazine covers and ad campaigns from decades past."
