Zosia Mamet: Take care of your brows

Zosia Mamet would have a pixie hairstyle if her Girls schedule would allow it.

The style of eyebrows seems to change every few years, with the current trend for thick ones being spearheaded by model Cara Delevingne.

Girls star Zosia also rocks a fuller brow, and she wants to advise young women not to over-wax.

“When I was younger I got them waxed and the waxer took most of them off. Whenever I see a young girl in a waxing place, I’m like, ‘No, turn back, don’t do it!’" she laughed to British magazine Stylist.

However when it comes to her hair, she'd love to go shorter. She went for the chop two years ago, shearing off her long locks for a sleeker bob hairstyle. However, she'd still like to take off more.

“I would love to have a super short pixie cut. But my hair has to be back to the length it was last season when we start filming season five [of Girls] in April.

“Shoshanna’s got a different jam than I do," she added of her onscreen alter ego.

As well as discussing hair and make-up, the 27-year-old has never shied away from talking about deeper body issues.

In her column for Glamour US last summer she revealed that she has suffered with an eating disorder since childhood, but admits fashion has helped her overcome some of her hang-ups.

"It’s about playing with that balance of stuff that helps you feel good. The perception of the female body has become incredibly convoluted. I think for many women it’s an uphill battle that needs to be addressed. It’s definitely something I still struggle with but it’s about taking positive steps to feel good about yourself. Fashion, when you make it enjoyable, can definitely help you feel good in your body," she smiled.
