Here's a happy shaggy dog story
I live beside a dog grooming salon, something I've never really thought about with not being a dog owner. I can't say I've ever noticed the pampered pooches as they come and go, having been coiffed with a new style, but I've always thought such ventures were more for silly owners than the dog's pleasure.
But I was stopped in my tracks recently by the mesmerising sight, through the window, of a dog having its fur dried.
It was a large black dog, with a poodle-type look, and was standing on a table happily getting a blow dry.
You have never seen such a look of pure unadulterated joy on the face of a pet as it stood stock still, turning its head slowly from side to side so its ears could flap in the warm air.
