Schmutz, Sandino's, Londonderry. Tonight, 10pm. A brand new house and techno night launches tonight in Londonderry, going under the name of Trainwreck.

Local duo, Kristian Woods and Conor MacParland, aka Schmutz, headline the launch party, with support coming from Derry-based DJs Brendan Tracey and Stephan Porter. Schmutz are at the forefront of house music here, having first teamed up musically as promoters of the renowned Schmutz parties in Belfast. Having held down residencies across the city, they're famous for delivering no-nonsense sets featuring everything from disco and house to techno. Jonny Tiernan

Lavery's Mister Tom's, Belfast

Tonight, 10pm

DJ Jonny Tiernan will once again be playing a selection of alternative party tunes, taking in everything from the beeps and bleeps of LCD Soundsystem to the funk and soul sounds of James Brown and the vintage American surf vibes of the B-52s. Gigantic is equal parts stylish and silly, say the promoters, so expect disco to rub up against electro, indie-pop alongside hip-hop, with the odd Eighties and Nineties classic, too. Visit
