Tried and tested: are high-tech running socks worth the hefty price tag?
What is it? Feetures! produces a range of specialist designed running socks. I've been wearing the Elite Light Cushion socks, which provide 'targeted compression' and 'high density cushioning in high impact areas', plus no toe seams for added comfort and blister protection.
What's it like?
As a newbie - and rather reluctant and clueless - jogger, I know I have a lot to learn. But some of the most important lessons are the ones you least expect - like the importance of decent running socks. It's only when I start wearing Feetures socks that I realise just how much difference they can make. When you're new to running, comfort really counts for keeping you motivated. Moisture-wicking, super-soft fabric is just the start of it. Feetures' specialist design also adds support to vulnerable areas of the foot, and provides an extra layer of cushioning with minimal friction, which makes for a more pleasant and successful workout. I'm grateful that they help with the mid-sole blisters I've been getting, too.
