Watch: The Body Coach Joe Wicks' top 5 tips for getting lean this summer

The Body Coach visited Belfast this week to promote his new book, Cooking for Family and Friends.

While promoting his new book of 100 lean recipes, Joe Wicks was on hand to give his Belfast fans 5 top tips for a leaner summer body.

1. Drink more water

This is really simple. A lot of people are dehydrated so try to drink 2-4 litres of water a day.

2. Prep like a boss

Go food shopping, plan your meals for the week, and prepare you food the night before so you've got your lunch ready to go for work the next day - that's really important.

3. Hiit cardio (High Intensity Interval Training)

Try to do Hiit training 4-5 days a week for about 2-25 minutes a day. It really is going to get you fitter, stronger and healthier.

4. Reduce alcohol consumption

If you rally want to get lean you've got to try and Reduce your alcohol consumption because that could be the one thing holding you back.

I'm not saying you've got to cut it out completely, because I have a drink, but try and reduce it. The less you drink, the leaner you will get.

5. Get a good night's sleep

You might think this is a random one, but get more sleep. Without a good night's sleep all these other tips go out the window.

You don't want to eat right, you don't want to train in the morning, you don't want to prep your food.

Getting 7-8 hours sleep a night is really important.

Do those five things continuously for seven days a week and you will be lean.
