What brought you into the business?

I came into the business as a trainee with David Lisk in McQuitty Lisk and was immediately hooked on how |estate agency works and the different types of properties that come to the market.

Who has inspired you in the property world?

I have great admiration for Eric Cairns, and also Michael Herbert — both very

successful entrepreneurs in property.

What do you have sitting on your desk?

My iPhone, desk phone, computer, diary, pen and Homefinder.

Downtime is?

Spending time with my family at home.

Do you do lunch?

Normally a sandwich in the office and coffee of course.

What qualifications do you think are essential for estate agency?

I think that personality and a professional approach with everyone is essential as well as good IT and business qualifications.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

A vet or a teacher.

If you could give it all up tomorrow, where in the world would you move to, and what would you |do?

I would head off and become an estate agent in Monaco.

Any unfulfilled ambitions?

To become a Top Gear presenter.

What is the most common misconception people have about estate agents?

Probably that agents are as rich as Donald Trump.

Your top tip for house-hunters is...

To look at only three houses in any day, to be patient and to buy within your budget.
