Who you work for? House Letting Agents

What brought you into the business?

I have always had a very strong interest in property and architecture, and I love helping people find their dream home.

Who has inspired you in the property world?

I don’t really have any one person who has inspired me. I have worked with a lot of property developers, entrepreneurs and business professionals during my career and I tend to be inspired from the people I work and surround myself with.

What do you have sitting on your desk?

A computer - pretty much a necessity these days. A HTC mobile phone which is great for keeping track of emails on the go and my diary as I still like to have pen and paper instead of relying solely on technology.

Downtime is?

Spending time with family and friends. There’s nothing better to be among great friends and to have the support of family to relieve the stress of the working week.

Do you lunch?

I try to lunch, but if there’s a job needing done, well, lunch can wait.

What qualifications do you think are essential for estate agency?

A strong degree of numeracy and literacy skills is paramount. There are various degrees available in property, however, being a good people person, ability to assess the market, being trustworthy and good communication skills will make for a long-lasting career.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

When I was a child I loved F1 so definitely an F1 driver plus there’s the travelling across the globe to exotic destinations hard work but someone’s got to do it!

If you could give it all up tomorrow, where in the world would you move to, and what would you do?

I would love to move to Miami. The fake lifestyle makes me laugh but I could definitely get used to it. I would still hope to work in property, probably finding the rich and famous their dream home.

Any unfulfilled ambitions?

Yes definitely, I think everyone needs goals and I can’t see a day when I don’t have a goal not yet achieved. If I were pushed I would probably say to be the next Donald Trump!

What is the most common misconception people have about estate agents?

People think we are self-obsessed and untrustworthy. Personally, I strive to give a very fair and honest service to all my clients.

Your top tip for house-hunters is:

Never overstretch yourself in purchasing a property, you will always struggle and may not get the benefit or the enjoyment out of your home if you spend your life worrying about bills.
