Just born: Amelia is an Angel to her doting parents
Amanda Murphy and Christopher Darling from east Belfast are celebrating the birth of a daughter.
Amelia Angel Darling-Murphy weighed 7lbs 9oz when she was born at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald on January 10 at 4.48am.
Amelia is the first child for the couple and the second daughter for proud mum Amanda.
"We had a gender scan so we knew we were having a girl," Christopher said.
"I cried when she arrived.
"I couldn't believe that she was finally here.
"She is brilliant.
"She looks a bit like me, a bit like her sister and a bit like her mum."
Amelia's big sister Tia (3) is enjoying her new role.
"She is over the moon," Christopher said.
"She is helping out with feeding and everything she can."
Christopher praised the high standard of care provided to his family at the Ulster Hospital.
"They were brilliant," he said.
"They were always there for us.
"We had a great experience."
Christopher is enjoying parenthood.
"I have got my work cut out for me," he said. "We are very happy."
Amanda and Christopher's friends and family are all keen to meet the little one.
"The majority of our family have been up already," Christopher said.
"Everybody has been so supportive. Thank you to everyone for their good wishes for us."
