Emma Kerr and Joe Morrison, from Belfast, are celebrating the birth of their daughter, Arya Faith Morrison.
Arya weighed 7lb 1oz when she was born at the Mater Hospital in Belfast on August 22, at 9.28pm.
Teacher Emma (32) is a first-time mother and her partner, Joe (28), a bank manager, now has two lovely daughters.
Proud mum Emma told the Belfast Telegraph how her gorgeous baby daughter arrived just one day late.
“It wasn’t too long a wait,” Emma said. “I was over the moon when they handed her to me.
“It is one of the best feelings you will ever get.
“Lots of people think she looks like her daddy and she’s got my nose, apparently.”
Emma said being a parent is a dream come true. She is enjoying every moment of taking care of little Arya and said that giving birth at the Mater Hospital was a very positive experience.
“The staff were wonderful,” Emma said.
“Being a mum is brilliant.
“It’s a bit of culture shock, but she’s fabulous and feeding well.
“She’s been very good. We are very happy.”
Emma and Joe’s friends and family are doting on Arya and the couple said they want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and generous gifts.
“We have had so many messages, cards and lovely presents,” Emma said.
“Arya is spoilt already. She is out today wearing Juicy Couture.”
