Anthony and Lynne Harper from Dundonald are now the proud parents of a baby girl called Brooke.

The baker and civil servant welcomed their daughter into the world on June 18 at 7.40pm.

When born, the beautiful little girl weighed 6lb 9oz and has a full head of hair.

Lynne (27) told the Belfast Telegraph she had a wonderful pregnancy and praised the staff at the Ulster Hospital for their excellent care.

“I feel brilliant,” Lynne said.

“My pregnancy was great and the hospital staff have been very good.

“I think Brooke looks like her dad.

“We had a 4D scan to find out whether we were having a boy or a girl, so her name has been picked for ages.

“I am so happy.”

Anthony (27) is thrilled to have a lovely daughter to look after and explained he was still in shock at her arrival.

“I’m in awe,” he said.

“I am still trying to take it all in.

“Brooke is the first granddaughter for my parents.

“She is the first girl on my side for about 40 years, so everyone is very pleased.”
