The birth of a baby girl to Steve and Jenni Coulter

Steve and Jenni Coulter are celebrating the birth of their second daughter. Elise Alexandra Coulter weighed 7lbs 4oz and measured 49cm when she was born at 9.03am on December 13 at the Mater Private Hospital in South Brisbane, Australia.

Elise is a second grandchild for proud grandmother Mary Coulter, from Portaferry, Co Down, as the couple also have a daughter named Sophia. Steve said holding his new baby daughter for the first time was an emotional experience.

"We were delighted that we had such a wonderful perfect little bundle of joy and a new sister for Sophia," he added.

"She looks completely identical to her sister Sophia."

Proud dad Steve praised the staff at the Mater Private Hospital for the excellent care they provided for his young family.

"The hospital staff were amazing and everything you needed was catered to," he said. "Nothing was too much trouble for them."

Sophia is enjoying the latest addition to the family. "Sophia loves having a little sister and enjoys looking into her cot and looks forward to taking her to the beach," Steve added.

Steve's mother Mary is keeping up to date with the new arrival using the internet and will get the chance to meet her new grandchild soon.

"Nana is checking out the latest addition to the family via Skype and enjoys seeing the children playing," Steve said.

"Elise will shortly be making her first trip back to Europe to see the family, which is exciting for us all."
