Jane and Gary McConville from Belfast are celebrating the birth of their second daughter.
Elizabeth McConville, who will be known as Beth, was born at 9.29am on June 10.
When staff at the maternity unit at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald first weighed the new addition to the McConville family, she was 7lb 14oz.
Jane (38) a primary school teacher and Gary (41), an architect, are both delighted to have two healthy children to look after and their eldest daughter Hannah (2) has a new sister and playmate.
The Belfast couple are looking forward to all the challenges and joy that bringing up two little girls will present them with.
Jane told the Belfast Telegraph that staff at the Ulster were fantastic and supported her through her water birth in the home from home unit.
“When they handed her to me, I was relieved, elated and exhausted,” Jane said.
“We both hope Beth grows up happy and secure and is able to achieve anything she wants.”
Gary added: “I am a very proud dad of two beautiful girls. We couldn't be happier.”
