Lee Sofley and Andrea Porter, from Dromore, Co Down, are celebrating the birth of their son Ethan James Sofley.

Ethan was born at Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn, on September 10, at 6.25am, weighing a healthy 8lb 10oz.

The baby boy is the second child for the couple and the third for Andrea.

Lee and Andrea have a daughter, Abbie (3), and Andrea also has a nine-year-old son, Bradley.

“Bradley and Abbie are all biz about Ethan,” Andrea said. “They are so proud of their new brother. He's great.”

Andrea said both she and Lee are delighted their son is thriving after being delivered safe and well at Lagan Valley, where she has given birth all three of her children.

“The staff were great,” Andrea said.

“I have had all my kids there. They are brilliant.”

Andrea is home from hospital already and coping well with the challenges and fun a newborn brings.

The full-time mother-of-three reckons Ethan is the double of his father and she extended the couple's thanks to all the visitors they have had over the last few days.

“I think Ethan looks like his daddy,” Andrea said. “Lee was hoping for a wee boy, so he got his wish.

“We have had so many visitors; everyone's been lovely.

“We want to thank everyone for all their support.”
