Lindsey McCandless and Craig Montgomery from Lisburn are celebrating the birth of their son Josh. The healthy baby boy weighed 7lbs 6oz and measured 50cms when he was born at the Lagan Valley Hospital on June 17 at 1.50am.

Little Josh, described as "the double of his daddy" is a first child for Craig and the second for Lindsey.

The couple has been overwhelmed by all the messages of congratulations, well wishes and generosity toward their son.

"We haven't stopped with visitors," Lindsey said.

"Thanks to all our friends and family for all their support."

Lindsey praised the team at Lagan Valley for the high standard of care they provided to her.

"They were amazing from start to finish," Lindsey said.

"From the moment we called they couldn't do enough for us.

"I would recommend them to anyone."

Lindsey's 10-year-old daughter Lauren is enjoying having a little brother around the house and is proving to be of great assistance to her busy mum.

"She is brilliant with him," Lindsey said.

"She is forever getting nappies and everything else he needs.

"Josh has brought so much joy into everyone's life since his arrival.

"We are very proud of our son," Craig said.

"We are very happy."
