Leo Alexander Macey-Lillie was born at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald a little earlier than planned.

Deborah O'Neill (19), a retail worker, and Craig Macey-Lillie (23), a joiner from Dundonald, told the Belfast Telegraph that their baby son was due to arrive on July 6.

Instead, the beautiful little boy made his arrival into this world on June 20 at 7.45am, weighing 6lb 15oz.

“He looks like his dad. He is the double of Craig,” Deborah said.

“I absolutely love him so much.

“He is so tiny. I was overwhelmed when he was handed to me.

“The staff here have all been really lovely.”

Leo's middle name is Alexander, after Deborah's Dad.

He is the first grandchild for Deborah's parents and the third for Craig's.

Craig said: “I am over the moon. I couldn't be happier.”

The new parents said they would like to thank their friends and family for all their love and kind wishes — in particular their parents for supporting them.

“We couldn't be in a better mood,” Craig added.

“Leo is just amazing.”
