Just Born: New arrival a 'magical' experience for parents
Jude Young and Robbie Leckey from Comber are celebrating the birth of their first child.
Theo Brian Mario Leckey weighed 7lbs 15.5oz when he was born at 10.45am on November 21 at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald.
His middle names are after his grandfather and step-grandfather.
Jude and Robbie told the Belfast Telegraph they were thrilled to welcome their baby son into the world.
"It was absolutely magical," Jude said.
"It was a brilliant delivery.
"Robbie was with me throughout and said it was the most magical experience of his life.
"Theo has a chin just like his dad."
Jude praised the staff at the Ulster Hospital, calling them all "absolutely fantastic".
"All the midwives were great," she said.
"And I really appreciated their help with breastfeeding.
"Conceptua and Lauren have been great support."
Jude and Robbie would also like to thank their friends and family for all their well-wishes.
"Everybody has been getting 30-minute slots to come and see him," she said.
"He is making everybody broody."
Jude and Robbie are rising to the challenge of being new parents to little Theo.
"It is very tiring but fantastic, life-changing," Jude said.
"We are looking forward to getting to know his personality. It is very exciting."
