The birth of a baby son to Grace and William Youle

Grace and William Youle from Bangor have welcomed a son into the world.

Ollie William Youle weighed 8lbs 12oz and measured 55cms when he was born at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald on May 18 at 12.55pm.

Ollie is the first grandchild for Grace's side of the family.

Teacher Grace (27) and William (28), an account coordinator for Bombardier, were thrilled to finally meet their baby son.

"I was shocked he wasn't a girl because I had a feeling the whole way through," Grace said.

"But I was absolutely elated and over the moon.

"He is a nice mixture of us both. He does not like to be disturbed."

Grace was full of praise for the staff at the Ulster Hospital.

"They were fantastic," she said.

"Ollie and I spent a week in the hospital after delivery and we were very well looked after."

Grace and William have been inundated with messages of congratulations, well wishes and gifts.

"Thanks to our friends and family for their support and good wishes," Grace added.

The young couple are enjoying watching Ollie thrive and all the challenges of parenthood.

"I love it," Grace said.

"William loves it too. He is absolutely doting on him.

"We are extremely happy and feel very lucky."
