Recipe: Caramel cinnamon popcorn

Take the pain out of back-to-school time with these healthy treats, using Golden Cow butter, from chef Paula McIntyre.

What you'll need

75g popcorn

50g Golden Cow butter

50g brown sugar

2 tbsp maple or golden syrup

2 tsp ground cinnamon

Serves 4

Melt the Golden Cow butter in a saucepan with a lid and add the popcorn. Place the lid firmly on top and cook over a low heat until the popping stops.

Place all the ingredients in a pan and cook to a thick sauce — this will take about five minutes.

Toss the cooked popcorn in the caramel sauce.

Serve immediately.
