New Belfast barge restaurant causes a splash
A 60-year-old barge has become the latest addition to Belfast's increasingly diverse cultural night-life.
The Galley restaurant, which is based on a barge on the city's Lagan river, opened its hatches yesterday afternoon for the first time to dozens of customers eager to witness the city's newest artist-led cafe bar.
According to its owners the new bar and restaurant is a nod to concepts of "design thinking" and offers a combination of fresh seafood, music and boat trips.
Located at Lanyon Quay in Belfast's city centre the new project hopes to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to its customers while providing a "key role in developing the physical and creative infrastructure of the city".
