Boyfriend dumped me now that I'm pregnant

Fiona Caine is here to help if you have a relationship, sexual, marriage or family problem.

My boyfriend and I have been going together for nearly six months.

I really love him and I thought he loved me too, so we started sleeping together about eight weeks ago.

Now I’ve found out I’m pregnant and he doesn’t want to know me.

I’m 14 years old and I daren’t tell my parents because they are so strict. I really don’t know what to do. Please don’t tell me to talk to them — I can’t. CT

FIONA SAYS: TALK TO SOMEONE

If you will not talk to your parents, you are going to have to talk to someone.

You can't deal with this on your own and you need some support to help you to decide what you are going to do.

Medical professionals have to respect your confidentiality — they may encourage you to talk to your parents, but will not do so without your consent.

You could start by talking to your GP, or contact Brook (tel: 0808 802 1234), the organisation that provides advice, counselling and medical help on sexual matters for under-25s.

Whatever you decide is the best thing to do for you and your circumstances, make sure you have talked it through properly, and act fast.

If you don't, you may well find the results of your actions are far more painful in years to come than they need to be.
