Gemma Garrett ready to put on the style
Thursday, 5 February 2009
She may have missed out on a nomination for Best Dressed Female, but Ulster beauty queen Gemma Garrett will be adding some glamour to an already glitzy night at the Magners Light Style Awards.
The current Miss Great Britain will be donning her poshest frock to join the province’s fashionistas and style gurus at Cafe Vaudeville in Belfast tonight.
The Magners Light Style Awards, which will be hosted by Cool FM's Kirstie McMurray and Pete Snodden, aim to celebrate all that is stylish about Northern Ireland, from hotels to hair salons, business people to bars.
Former Miss Northern Ireland winners Lucy Evangelista and Gayle Williamson are expected to attend, along with Debby and Gerry Armstrong, Orlaith McCallister, Katie Larmour and Jim Corr.
Speaking ahead of the event Gemma said: “As a beauty queen, style is very important in my job.
“However, I think everyone should aspire to look their best at all times. Looking good helps you feel good and lifts your confidence for the rest of the day.
“The Magners Light Style Awards are the perfect place to see Northern Ireland’s trendsetters and those who are picking up the tips from all the winners on the night.
“If you’re coming along remember three things — dress up, be glamorous and have fun — that’s my philosophy. And good luck to all the entrants in advance.”

What a line up - a shop assistant, a couple of ex - ACA 'glamour models' and someone who married a footballer... Lets be honest - if any of these girls were actually model material they wouldn't have to 'model' in northern ireland...
When will NI move away from this d list celebrity culture and start to celebrate people who add something to society.
What about giving tickets to these events to the doctors and nurses of our hospitals, police, firecrews and those who make a difference?

It must have been her smile that drew so much interest and so many comments.
Yeah, right.

Also bizarre that she is Miss Great Britain when she is not actually from Great Britain.

Same old parties, same old crowd, boring boring. Most of the people who go to those events would go to an opening of an envelope..............Yawn.

Some people will do absolutely anything for money and attention. I'm glad to see so many Irish males seem to find this "spectacle" as crass and distasteful as I do.

Wow - what an A List line up, not least of all the co-hosts. Michael - not only is is pintless, it's pointless as well!

Sounds like an awfully pintless awards ceremony they aim to celebrate all that is stylish about Northern Ireland, from hotels to hair salons, business people to bars.
that sounds like an evening of torture, sycophantic rubbish

What!!?? speak for yourself, She looks great,- whats the matter with ya!?

Nothing wrong with them, other than they are too big for me. I go to the gym to work out and get fit, some people do more extreme things in wanting a more 'perfect' body..
And you`ll find that most men won`t care if they are "plastic" or not.. given by the success of those models with large breasts.

Gross! Yuk! Agree with Liam, T and Richard...nothing beats 'the real thing.' An 'A' gets top marks in my book...isn't it time the female population stopped following the dictates and brainwashing of tv "experts."

fake boobs or not, i'll never get tired of pictures of this girl. keep it up BT!

I would just like to echo the majority of comments from below. The reality of fake boobs is that women feel under pressure to get the op done to conform to a totally false image of what men find attractive.
This pursuit of this image, like that of the ultra skinny, unattractive waif look, is a result of the countless female orientated magazines / trash tv makeover shows out there.
THE VAST MAJORITY OF MEN DO NOT FIND THIS ATTRACTIVE.

Real beauty is on the inside, it can't be bought or manufactured or faked. I think that this is humiliating and demeaning to women, and appeals only to dirty old men (or worse).

There are people dying around the world right now. Tell me please, exactly how is this self indulgent nonsense news, huh, BT ?

I dont think they look fake , that dress is just pushing them up. I do however hate the word boobies. Please stop.

no K,men don't want to feel plastic.i can say from ym own experience that nothing puts me off an attractive girl quite so much as two big blobs of silicon in and surgery scars on their breasts.i wonder would women like to feel plastic biceps etc?
stay natural ladies,always a winner.

To K. Canada
I agree with you. I personally would prefer a small A cup over any fake breasts. You cannot beat a real pair of breasts no matter what size they are. Gemma's breasts look good in that dress because it looks as though she has a great clevage but the problem is that when she takes that dress off her breasts stay in the exact same position and for me that is a complete turn off!!

I personally do not like fake boobies! i like them real, they are better to look at and they suit women better!
Be yourselves ladies we don't like fakes!
