A host of accessories are available for the VFR1200F, ranging from a complete luggage set to an outdoor cover and a u-lock.

The most expensive is a sat nav kit at £800, which carries Honda’s name but looks to me to be from Garmin’s Zumo range.

The 29 litre colour matched pannier set comes in at £700; the mountings are an integral part of the machine and the panniers lift on and off easily. A 31 litre top box to match costs a very hefty £500 and the rear carrier for it comes in at £300. Inner bags are available for all three.

An Averto alarm kit costs £379, main stand, an extra, has a tag of £175, and heated grips, an essential for every bike, £275. A tank bag is £175, a 12 v socket kit, most useful for powering a sat nav or heated vests, etc, costs £75.

A touring screen extension is £145, with a fairing deflector set costing the same. That’s by no means a complete list but it will give some idea of prices. Honda also had two finance schemes to help with the purchase of the bike.

Option one requires a 10% deposit with apr rate of 6.9% over three years while option two has a 20% deposit and a lower apr of 5.9%, again over three year. Both require final payments to own the bike outright at the end of the period but there are also other choices available. Full details from your dealer.
