Singer Cheryl Cole scored a new number one yesterday — after topping a chart of online celebrity searches.
A study of mobile users' most searched-for stars revealed the X Factor judge's name was 40% more popular than nearest rivals — singer Miley Cyrus and Twilight star Robert Pattinson. Her music is just as popular — with thousands of the erstwhile Girls Aloud star's tracks downloaded each month.

Yep, this is the state of our current society which is being consumed by a superfluous celebrity culture.
It's sad that this woman has been selected as the top female role model in the last 10 years - surely, our younger generation should be holding up someione else as their heroine, like Elen Mcarthy, JK Rowling, Dawn Gibbons, just to name a few.....
