Holidaymakers heading for foreign climes consider the British cuppa the one thing they cannot do without, a Which? Holiday survey has revealed.
As many as 56% of the 2,324 people polled took some type of food or drink with them on their last holiday.
The trusty teabag topped the list, with a third packing some, while a fifth took coffee and 17% stowed away sweets.
The poll also revealed that 5% took Marmite and that women are more likely than men to take food and drink with them on trips.
Those under 55 were keener on packing foodstuffs for overseas visits than older holidaymakers.
Rochelle Turner, head of research for Which? Holiday, said: "We all know that travel insurance and sun cream are essentials for most holidaymakers, but for many nothing beats the taste of home.
"Our research just goes to show that it doesn't matter where in the world we are, we Brits love a good cuppa."
