BEST BUY: Doctor Who lunch box, Sainsbury, £5.99

A roomy zip-up, lunch bag which features Doctor Who’s most notorious enemy — a Dalek that can help you ‘exterminate’ unhealthy snacks. A durable bag which will appeal to time-travelling boys and girls. Good value too for a branded lunch box — 9/10

Official England FA lunch bag, Marks & Spencer, £5

Perfect for football crazy kids and it’s just a fiver. A fold-over flap keeps sarnies fresh until lunch time — with room for a half-time orange too. An authentic logo and patriotic England colours. Back of the net! — 8/10

WWE Smack Down Vs Raw lunch bag, Woolworths, £8.99

Get ready to rumble with this WWE bag in black and red. Characters from the bouts feature on the front of the waterproof bag, which is zip fastened and insulated to keep food fresher for longer. More effective bag and therefore more expensive — 7/10

Beep Beep lunch tin, ASDA, £2.80

A really cute ‘old school’ tin which is perfect for smaller children just starting school. A single clip fastening and solid handle with buses and scooters on the outside. A steal at less then £3 — 7/10

High School |Musical lunch bag kit, ToysRus, £9.99

One for the girls with pink handles and a waterproof zip-up bag, featuring all your favourite TV characters, such as Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay and Chad. The fully insulated bag keeps food cool and has a wipe clean lining. It also comes with pink sandwich box and drinks bottle, making it a bargain too — 8/10

Lunch box with fork, Dunnes Stores, £4

Teens who are too cool for school will love this ergonomically designed lunch box. The sealed container is great for salads or pasta, and has its own fork for food to go. The amazing price also adds to its appeal — 8/10
