As part of the Titanic Festival, 30,000 people gathered close to the new Titanic Belfast building on Saturday night to watch a spectacular lights show.

The iconic building was used as a platform for a combination of 3D graphics and pyrotechnics, set to music.

The audience was wowed by a display which traced the history of the Titanic from its construction to its final resting place at the bottom of the Atlantic.

The event was organised by Belfast City Council and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board who said it had been a tremendous success.
