A devastated Ulster family were today coming to terms with their grief after a 57-year-old mother-of-three tragically died on holiday abroad.
Meta Forsythe, from Twinbrook in west Belfast, was found dead in a swimming pool in Tunisia on Sunday - just two days into her summer break.
Mrs Forsythe's body was discovered in the pool by her 24-year-old daughter Lisa, who was then forced break the terrible news to the rest of the family by telephone.
A post mortem examination is due to be carried out and it is understood that the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin are helping to arrange for the body to be flown home.
Mrs Forsythe's distraught husband Eric told the Irish News that he would remember her as a woman of strong faith and charity.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, Father Darach, a curate at St Luke's Twinbrook, said that Mrs Forsythe, who was a florist at the church, would be sorely missed.
" Everyone is still very much shocked," he said.
