Date set for £2m heroin haul trial
A Dublin couple and a 42-year-old Northern Ireland man are to go on trial at the Crown Court in Londonderry next month charged in connection with the largest ever heroin haul in Northern Ireland.
At his arraignment yesterday, Sean Doherty from Cornshell Fields in Derry replied “not guilty” to possessing almost eight kilos of heroin with an estimated street value of £2m.
With him were Sarah Greene (24) and Anthony Morgan (28), both from Dublin.
They deny being concerned in the supply of heroin.
Greene was released on continuing bail. Her co-defendants were returned into custody, and their trial, is to start on June 9.
