Drug dealer’s act hard to swallow
A drug dealer spent 16 days in police cells while officers waited for a stash hidden in his stomach to work its way through his system, Swansea Crown Court heard yesterday.
Damien Ankrah initially refused to eat while in custody after swallowing five wraps of heroin worth £3,200 when he was caught in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, on 13 July.
He was jailed for four years and four months for possession with intent to supply the class A drug. The judge said the drugs could have killed him.
