Pupils from Friends' School in Lisburn have taken part in a 'colourful' event to raise funds for charity.

The young people organised a 'colour run' in aid of Habitat for Humanity NI.

Almost all of the pupils - sporting sunglasses and fancy dress - ran around a course in the grounds of the school and had different coloured powdered dyes thrown at them!

Last year 20 Year 13 pupils were selected to work for the charity in Northern Ireland.

One of them, Lucy Taylor, explained: "We were given the task of raising £1,250 for the charity - so we thought we would have a big event - and hopefully have a lot of fun at the same time."

And the initiative has paid off - as currently they have raised over £9,000 for the charity, which builds homes for less fortunate people in Northern Ireland and overseas.
