Climate action ‘will save millions’

Thursday, 26 November 2009

Tackling climate change will help prevent millions of deaths among people who are alive now and save the world for future generations, scientists said today.

The benefits of cutting greenhouse gases are widely believed to be far in the future.

But there are health gains from measures to tackle global warming — such as walking instead of taking the car, and eating less meat — which would be felt in this generation instead of being confined to future generations.

The series of papers, backed by the UK Department of Health and the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, are published by The Lancet.

For example, up to 7,000 deaths a year from heart disease, stroke, breast cancer and dementia could be saved in London by 2030 if policies were pursued to encourage active travel, such as walking and cycling, in place of car use.

Why do we work so hard trying to believe that death by CO2 is legitimate when there is practically an “admition” in ClimateGate that the planet is not dying after all? It’s like we wish for this misery to happen. Are we off the rails here or what? We are losing sight of our goals and doubling our efforts anyways and history will not be kind to us wishing for doom for every human on the planet. I’m seeing now that motivating by fear could have been excusable at some point but when we started promising “death” of the planet, we set ourselves up for this big fall we are experiencing. The longer we wait to abandon this CO2 mistake turned outright criminal, the less that fall will hurt environmentalism.

Consider - The emails were not a result of a hacker's activity. They were also not going to be produced under a FOIA request.

Rather, they are the residual emails comprising those which had already been *sanitized* from the CRU systems to illegally prepare an incomplete response for a future (likely successful) FOIA request.

Note that there is a very small percentage of personal chatter that typically make up close colleagues' communication. Therefore, it points to a previous culling.

Theory: These are deleted emails from a sanitized batch which were foolishly or purposely archived and/or discovered by an insider (perhaps the sanitizer himself). The insider then had pangs of conscience or an axe to grind and released them surreptitiously.

Climategate has confirmed to the world that we have been in a cooling cycle for decades. Carbon is one of the building blocks of life. We exhale carbon dioxide, plants breathe CO2 and convert it to oxygen. The Copenhagen Treaty will not only create global government but will take away all of your God given rights, like free speech, rights of privacy and the right to bear arms. The elite think you're stupid and they intend to regulate and tax you into oblivion. RESIST!

Uhmmm...

Climate Gate???

Oh yeah, you won't cover that, its not politically correct to let the Sheeple know they're being led to the Carbon Slaughter based upon a pack of lies.

Figures don't lie, but as the emails clearly show - LIARS DO FIGURE.

No doubt humans are damaging the planet, for example that plume of plastic out in the Pacific between Costa Rica and Hawaii. But this AGW/ CO2 religion is nonsense. It's a way to further enslave every non-elite man, woman and child. Now the scam has been blown wide open, not as much by the communications as the computer CODE. The fact is that only 5 to 8% of CO2 is generated by the combustion of hydrocarbons. I am NOT convinced that rising CO2 levels are such a bad thing, and I certainly do not believe that CO2 is a pollutant

All we have heard, all over the world, is how much more we can expect to pay for essentials. How praytell are we really to save "millions"? (You really need to look at the quality of your propagandists this story is just plain rubbish).

CRU hacked e-mails. Ever hear of them? You wouldn't know that from reading the above article. You wanna improve health? Outlaw MSG and Aspartame. Neither one of those has anything to do with Carbon Dioxide.

The proof is in the e-mails. The data was 'faked' and the people faking the data admitted it in their e-mails. Google "climategate"
4.8 million search results in only 4 days, and the Belfast Telegraph doesn't even mention it. That's why you'll fail as a news source. People need news from their news sources, not propeganda

Man made climate change - another globalist lie, another manufactured "global crisis", engineered to justify one world government by the "intenational bankers".

Ice in the Antarctic is up by a massive 45% (stats from the national snow and ice data centre, University of Colorado). The media always make a fuss when an ice shelf breaks off even though this is a natural process. They grow they break off big deal. Bottom line is that the sea ice in increasing overall.

No more silly propaganda stories about cow wind ending life on earth please. Carbon isn't a pollutant.

The complete corruption of the Scientific Method by the world's leading climate scientists and this doesn't rate a headline? Hey Telegraph , the game is over and the fraud exposed.

The climate change lobby refuse to publish raw data on temperature change, only giving out data which has, to quote them, been doctored by "trickery". They have completely failed to deal with, for them, unfortunate facts such as the natural climate cycle (the "mediaeval warm period" followed by the "little ice age"), the fact that the warming trend ended in 1999 and since then has been followed by a mild cooling trend, and the impact of solar activity on world temperatures. In other words, if there are facts which don't support their conclusions, they are simply ignored. Now these neo-fascists want to dictate every aspect of how we live. Seriously dangerous!
