Situated between the shores of Lower Lough Erne and Castlehume Lough with a backdrop of loughs, islands and woodlands just a few miles out of Enniskillen, the five star Lough Erne Golf Resort & Spa was opened in 2008.
Home to the Faldo Course and the Thai Spa the construction of this hotel demanded an extremely high level of input from the builder and the architect to produce a high quality facility within a tight schedule.
Commenting on the hotel, Northern Ireland golf star Rory McIlroy said “A great place to stay, a great place to play.”
Blending into the natural environment in which it was situated was a high priority for the hotel and its contractor. Creating an eco-friendly resort a number of initiatives were introduced including:
- Local organic products in public area
- Energy saving light bulbs around resort
- Time controlled heating units
- Recycling scheme
- Fire logs from own estate – no fossil fuels used
- Vat boxes around resort
- Swan nests
- Staff awareness training
Becoming part of the local the local community the Lough Erne Resort and Spa encouraged tourism in the Enniskillen area through high standards and first class facilities.

Beautiful location in the heart of fermanagh, once you get there you will never want to leave. Building at its best, very sympathetic architecture to match the surroundings.

The Lough Erne Golf Resort is a absolute fabulous hotel to visit with something to keep everyone entertained both day and night.
The hotel itself is set in the most amazing surroundings, the best way to enjoy a chilled glass of wine, sitting on the patio overlooking the Lough Erne and watching the sun set. It is most definitely the best construction project within the last 10years.
I recommend everyone vote for this project and also visit the hotel you will be very impressed.

Lough Erne Golf Resort has to be the best place on earth. I have been to it three times and I keep leaving it and thinking when can I return. The food , staff and of course the spa is out of this world. I am not a golfer but I can only say that I have never seen such a great golf course as I walked around it.
