Lower Lough Erne's pike numbers steady for last 15 years
Pike numbers in Lower Lough Erne appear to have increased slightly since they were last surveyed around 15 years ago.
Stocks are at a similar level to what they were in the 1990s when the last surveys took place, according to Culture and Sports Minister Caral Ni Chuilin, who is responsible for inland fisheries.
"The findings of the survey undertaken by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute are encouraging in that pike stocks are at a comparable level to those in the 1990s," she said.
