Our masterplan recognises the beauty of the Linfield industrial site and its historical significance to Belfast. We propose a sensitive intervention that responds to the complexity of the Sandy Row area and social condition.
The Sandy Row Sports Initiative would address the significant requirement for local facilities that are currently not present.
The overall objective of the master plan is for Sandy Row to become a new node of the city, linking the south of Belfast to the city centre, whilst retaining its identity.
We believe for the sustainable development of Sandy Row any proposal should be sensitive to the culture and society that already exists.
Our masterplan concept is to turn Sandy Row into a “village in the city”. We hope to achieve this by making Sandy Row a self-sufficient community in terms of energy and resources.
The objective of this master plan is to inject life back into the streets of Sandy Row. By implementing these changes we hope to reinvigorate the vibrant community of the area.
