Eddie Izzard goes glam as he canvasses for Labour

Cross-dressing Labour supporter Eddie Izzard was out on the campaign trail in London fully made up and wearing a dark blue skirt and high heels and sporting a red rosette.

The actor and comedian was canvassing alongside the party candidate for Finchley and Golders Green, Sarah Stackman.

He appeared to be giving her his opinion on the current political scene, gesturing with his perfectly manicured and painted nails.

Izzard, who spent several years of his childhood in Bangor, Co Down before moving back to Wales, is well-known for his political views and has often spoken out in support of Labour in the past.

The comedian has also vowed that he would run for Mayor of London, MEP or MP in 2020.

He said he will fight a London campaign as an avowed republican, which may cost him votes and says the verbal abuse he has endured from members of the public has toughened him up for the world of politics,
