Sales of so-called fat binders have soared by around 35% in the past year, a new study has revealed.
Diet supplements including natural product Proactol, which acts as a fat binder, sold a million packs.
Some doctors believe the increase in sales is down to local government funding cuts reducing gym classes.
Others however, believe some dieters are merely looking for a quick fix to avoid changing their lifestyle.
