This is the member of staff at Altnagelvin Hospital accused of making an indecent image of a child.

Medical radiographer Ivor Gilfillan (52), from Burnally Road in Limavady, was remanded in custody after appearing via video-link yesterday at Londonderry Magistrates Court.

Gilfillan, who appeared at court via videolink, had already been in custody after a previous court appearance.

Gilfillan is charged with making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.

This offence is alleged to have been committed at Gilfillan's home address.

The Co Derry man faced a second charge of distributing or showing an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.

Gilfillan is also accused of being in possession of an indecent photograph or pseudo- photograph of a child contrary to Article 15 of the Criminal Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 1988.

All three offences are alleged to have been committed on December 22, 2007.

At the brief hearing yesterday, a representative from the Public Prosecution Service told Resident Magistrate Barney McElholm that they were waiting for the Electronic Crime Unit to complete its examination of the evidence.

A request for a four-week adjournment by the PPS was granted by RM McElholm.

Gilfillan is due back before the Magistrate's Court in Derry on May 22.
