Protect the badger

Badger baiting is rearing its ugly head again, and I would like to appeal to
readers to help stop this horrific cruelty.
This illegal 'sport' involves digging badgers out of their setts and using
them in baiting sessions. Each event consists of matching two dogs, usually
pitt bulls, against the badger.
Every year, badgers suffer agonising deaths, thanks not only to the cruelty
of the baiters but also to the silence of people who know exactly what is
going on and refuse to report it.
