Tesco is alienating customers
Tuesday, 8 July 2008
A Sunday paper recently stated all the wonderful savings that Tesco was giving to its customers.
Starting on Monday, June 30, customers would receive a coupon if they spent £50, whereby five pence a litre would be saved on fuel purchases.
I completed my weekly shop at Tesco, Knocknagoney on July 1 spending just over £90, but no coupon.
I queried this and was told the offer wasn't coming through the tills.
Then on television an advert appeared for the Tesco five pence a litre fuel coupon which runs until July 20, 2008, and at the end of the advert in the tiniest of print those legendary words appeared, 'Excludes NI'.
If Tesco is willing to take my cash every week, I would like to know why it feels it is acceptable to exclude/discriminate its cusomers in Northern Ireland and not reward them for spending their hard earned cash instore.
Perhaps this is an issue all Northern Ireland Tesco customers should raise by shopping elsewhere!
