The mystery trio wearing red, white and blue T-shirts and waving a bag emblazoned with the British flag nabbed the top republican at Belfast International Airport. Now their unlikely celebrity snap has been the subject of hundreds of emails and has sparked caption competitions on political websites.
The picture emerged this week after Martin McGuinness was voted ‘Best Assembly Minister' in a Belfast Telegraph poll that showed both Protestants and Catholics supported him.
