For this big race fan is a beauty therapist by trade and a biker in her spare time on her vivid yellow Honda CBR 600cc machine.

And this morning she will be painting the nails and styling the hair of a bride-to-be in her Klass Hair and Beauty Saloon at Main Street, Crumlin, before donning her leathers and climbing aboard her bike to roar away, five miles up the road to watch the action on the Dundrod circuit.

Shauna (31) will be accompanied by her husband Stephen, a quarry foreman on his Pan European touring bike.

"We spend all our spare time out on our bikes," says Shauna.

"We are off soon on holiday touring through France. But we simply love watching the racers at the Grand Prix. I hope my bride on Saturday is on time - not at the church, but at my saloon.

"Once I've helped her to turn on the style for her groom I'm off on my Honda."

She started riding bikes for a dare after Stephen booked her in for a set of lessons at the One to One Motorbike Instruction School in Lisburn.

"He never thought I'd go through with it," says Shauna, "but now I'm as good a rider as him."

Shauna will be one of thousands of bike fans expected to be in poll position to enjoy the final day of racing at the Ulster Grand Prix Bike Week today.

The world famous Dundrod Circuit will be lined with spectators for the last six races culminating in the Belfast Telegraph Superbike Race with a winner's prize package of £4,000.

The roads will close at 9.30am for the Ulster Grand Prix race and re-open again at 6.30pm.

Temporary no waiting restrictions will be implemented on some of the roads surrounding the circuit.

All road users in the vicinity of Dundrod should leave plenty of time for journeys and if possible plan an alternative route.

And police would also encourage those attending the event to use the official car parks.

Car park spaces in the Paddock area are for pass holders only.

Free car parking will be available at Nutts Corner Market and a shuttle bus service to the course will run from 7am to 9am. Passengers must have an official Ulster Grand Prix programme.
