PSNI continue to question six over car bomb attack

The PSNI are continuing to question six people in connection with the attempted murder of an off-duty police officer.

The booby-trap car bomb attack happened in Spamount village near Castlederg in Co Tyrone at around 9pm last Monday night.

The policeman received leg injuries which are not life threatening.

Four men were arrested earlier in the week and PSNI officers arrested another man and a woman last night.

They are being held at the serious crime suite at Antrim Police Station.
