Irish girls opting for the Shaggy Aggy
Monday, 23 June 2008
It's the hair-cut credited with making a super-model out of Agyness Deyn -- and Irish fashion fans are flocking to their hair-dressers to follow in her cropped footsteps.
The super-model's trademark peroxide crop is being hailed as a must-have haircut -- with a host of familiar faces, from feisty Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, to Pixie Geldof, having gone for the crop in recent months.
And the cutting-edge 'Shaggy Aggy' style has already got a glamorous fan here, in the form of 1st Options beauty, Jude Nabney.
The Belfast native has wowed fashion industry insiders with her own take on the brave crop and says that she has no plans to ditch her short look any time soon.
"I got it done three years ago -- so I'm ahead of the trend!" she explained.
While our leading fashionistas are pulling off the style, mere mortals can also try it, according to Dylan Bradshaw stylist, Susan-Jane Corbett.
"It's a really low maintenance cut and it creates volume, so it's very comfortable for people to wear," she said.
